You may have signed up to Koinly with an e-mail you no longer use, or you want to increase the security of your account by switching to Google login. This article explains how to do this.
How to change your email address
To change your Koinly account email address:
Go to Settings → Account
Click "Change email":
Enter your current password and the new email you want to use from now.
Confirm by clicking "Save":
You should see a pop-up message confirming the change was successful 🥳
How to switch to Google login
⚠️ E-mail of your Koinly account and Google account must match
In order to link your Koinly account with your Google account, both need to use the same e-mail. If your Koinly account is set up using a different email, change it before linking your Google account.
ℹ️ Password login will be disabled
If you link your Google account, you will no longer be able to log in to Koinly using your e-mail and password: only using "Continue with Google"
If you would prefer to log in via Google, instead of using email and password:
Go to Settings → Account
Click the button Continue with Google under "Login with Google" section
Follow on-screen prompts to authorize the connection
How to remove the Google login
If you want to remove the Google login:
Unlink your Google account
Go to Settings → Account Settings and click the red cross to disconnect it from your account:
Set a new password
If you do this, you will need to set a new password by going to https://app.koinly.io/forgot and entering your Koinly email address.
Log in with your new credentials
Once done, you will be able to log back in with email and password
