Referral links are links shared by other Koinly users and affiliates that may offer some benefits (a discount, additional credits, etc.) when used. These links include a via=XXXXX part in the URL:

You should sign up to Koinly after clicking the link for the referral code to work
If you already have a Koinly account, clicking this link will not do anything. But you can delete your account and sign up again
Not all referral links offer a discount when used. Confirm with the person who shared the link what the benefits are
The code from a referral link cannot be used in the "promo code" field when checking out
Referral links require cookies enabled in your browser. If you often clear cookies or have them overall disabled, the code may not be applied

Koinly often runs promotions, offering limited-time discounts on our plans. These discounts require adding a promo code on the checkout page, and a promo code is often a short text like:

Though it differs depending on campaign.
How to use a promo code
Enter your code in the respective field during checkout and click "Apply code":
Blitz code
If you recently purchased a Koinly plan, you may receive a Blitz code - a limited time discount. This code only appears after a recent successful purchase and is meant as a bonus in case you want to upgrade your plan or purchase an additional plan for another year.
☝️ Good to know:
A blitz code cannot be shared. It will only work on an account with a recent purchase
Blitz code cannot be applied retro-actively to a finalized purchase
🤝 Partner discounts
Koinly has established partnerships with multiple well-known exchanges and services like Kraken, Nexo and Revolut. Customers of our partners can enjoy hefty discounts on Koinly, sometimes even a completely free plan. Check the exact perks and eligibility criteria on our partners' websites.
How to use a partner discount
Partner discount is applied automatically to the checkout if you initiated your Koinly login session through the partner's website. There's usually a button "Get a Koinly report" or similar on the website of our partner and you have to log in to Koinly via this button for the discount to be applied.
Exact steps differ between partners - please refer to the particular partner's help docs or support team for detailed instructions. For example:

Discount scope
Discounts coming from any of the possible sources (promo code, pernership discount, discount from referral link) can be used (will reduce the total price) when buying:
✅ Tax plans
✅ Additional transactions (for Pro plan)
A discount cannot be used (won't work) for add-ons like:
❌ Expert Review
❌ Dual Nationality
❌ Daily Sync
If your order includes both tax plans and add-ons, the discount will only be applied to the eligible items (tax plans) and the price of add-ons will remain the same.
Discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotions. For example, if you have an offer from one of Koinly's partners, you cannot use it in conjunction with another discount or promotion.
