After syncing your wallet (or importing data using CSVs) you may notice that some of the tokens have the wrong logo. The issue may be that:
Imported token is not recognized
Imported token is different than what you own
Unrecognized token
Koinly imported your transactions but one of the tokens is wrong:
It has the generic grey icon instead of the logo
Deposits and withdrawals of this token show the "Missing market price" warning
🛠️ Fixing unrecognized tokens
1: Check if it's not spam
Often the token is not recognized because it's not a real token
Spam tokens may share the same symbol/name as the actual token to trick you into interacting with them
This spam technique is called address poisoning
To fix this, you should mark such token as spam. Read more about it in:
2: Check if Koinly has this token listed
Go to Koinly's Markets page and search for your token
Can you see your token in the results? A token is listed in our database if you can see its logo and current market price:
If the correct token is listed
Use Change currency to point Koinly to the right asset
If the correct token isn't listed
Koinly doesn't have this token in our database so it will remain an unrecognized token. For transactions with such tokens, you will need to add their market price manually:
ℹ️ Request adding the token to Koinly's database
If the token is listed on CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko but doesn't show when searching on our Markets page, you can contact our Support team via our in-app chat to request the price feed for the token added.
Mind that the token has to be "properly" listed on either of the aggregators. We cannot integrate a dexscreener-like listings (GeckoTerminal, DexScan). The token needs to have its own designated page.
Incorrect token
Koinly imported your transactions but one of the tokens is incorrect. E.g. you purchased XPL (Plasma) on Kraken, but Koinly imported a different XPL (Pulse):
Token has a different logo than the token you traded
The market price (e.g. on the dashboard) is wrong
🛠️ Fixing incorrect tokens
Steps to fixing incorrect token imported are a bit simpler than for unrecognized tokens.
Check if Koinly has this token listed
Go to Koinly's Markets page and search for your token
Can you see your token in the results? A token is listed in our database if you can see its logo and current market price:
If the correct token is listed
Use Change currency to point Koinly to the right asset
If the correct token isn't listed
Incorrect token imported usually happens only on centralized exchanges and the correct token is already listed on CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko, just not yet in Koinly.
As such, please contact our Support team via out in-app chat to add the token to our database.
