Bulk Editing

Koinly allows advanced bulk editing that can be used to edit tags, descriptions, wallets, and currencies. This can be very handy when you need to edit or tag a lot of similar transactions.

Koinly also offers bulk editing via Export/Import functionality. You can read more about this here.

This is how to use the Bulk Edit:

  1. Filter for the transactions that you want to edit.
This first step is very important, since the Bulk Edit will be applied to all transactions that match your current filter. We recommend using the Advanced filters for this, so that you can filter for the exact set of transactions that you want to edit.

  2. After adding the filters, you can click on the 3 dots in the top-right corner of the page and select Bulk Edit.

  3. For Bulk Edits, you will need to select the attribute that you would like to edit, and then confirm the action.
Note that it is not currently possible to edit the Wallet or Currency for any transaction that was imported via API, although this will be enabled in the near future.

  4. You will see a confirmation screen that will state how many transactions were edited, and tell you about any errors that happened.

Bulk Deleting and Restoring

Koinly also allows you to delete transactions in bulk, as well as restore previously deleted transactions.

How to Bulk Delete transactions:

  1. Filter for the transactions that you want to delete.
This first step is very important, since the Bulk Delete will be applied to all transactions that match your current filter. We recommend using the Advanced filters for this, so that you can filter for the exact set of transactions that you want to delete.

  2. After adding the filters, you can click on the 3 dots in the top-right corner of the page and select Bulk Delete.

  3. You will then need to select between a normal Delete and a Permanent Delete. Keep in mind that Deleted transactions can be restored at any time but permanently Deleted transactions will be removed entirely, and can therefore not be restored unless they were imported again from scratch.

  4. After confirming the deletion, you will see a confirmation screen, which will let you know if there are any issues

How to Bulk Restore deleted transactions:

  1. Filter for the deleted transactions. This can be done by selecting Add Filter and setting 'Deleted' to True

  2. Click on the 3 dots in the top-right corner of the page and select Bulk Restore. This option will only be visible if you have filtered for deleted transactions

  3. You will be asked to confirm the action. After doing this, the deleted transactions will be restored
